Accommodation
If you are moving to Halifax, our experience shows that you can secure an appropriate apartment in a day or two. While we are located on major bus routes, we are not in downtown Halifax. Thus, you are not fighting over apartments with students enrolled at one of the universities. Rents are significantly cheaper near the College. We are located in the Fairview area of Halifax, in the Bayers Road Shopping Centre (also known as The Village at Bayers Road). A good source of information can be the on-line classifieds of The Halifax Chronicle Herald: www.herald.ca
You should note that there are a large number of apartments that are not advertised. There are many apartment buildings with “Apartment for Rent” signs on them.
